Have you ever seen a small car that can carry an 80-ton "big guy"? In the intelligent manufacturing workshop of Shanghai Huijue, it is not just there; it has been working quietly every day. We are not talking about science fiction, but about a real "master of transportation" - the backpack AGV unmanned vehicle, which is quietly changing the entire production method of energy storage containers.
Recently, Huijue has launched a brand-new intelligent logistics system at its Shanghai base. The core protagonist is this AGV capable of carrying a weight of 80 tons. Its debut has solved the problem of relying on manual forklifts and hoisting to transport container energy storage cabinets in the past. It is not only safer but also can work continuously for 24 hours. Behind this, it is not merely an upgrade of equipment, but also a transformation in manufacturing methods.
To put it bluntly, it used to rely on humans, but now it relies on "robots". It used to take an hour to transfer a piece of equipment, but now it can be done in just over ten minutes. In the past, the workshop was empty at night. Now, AGVs can still bypass obstacles and precisely position themselves in the dark factory. The entire process is completed automatically without human intervention.
This AGV is not carrying ordinary goods, but a 1MWh containerized energy storage system independently developed by Huijue. Some people in the industry also call it the "Energy Magic Cube".
Why is it called so? Because it is very much like a huge energy block, integrating core modules such as photovoltaic access, battery energy storage, energy management and grid-connected inverter. It has truly achieved the goal of "putting the complex energy system into a box". Although it looks like a standard 20-foot container on the outside, its internal structure is actually very precise. It uses high-safety lithium iron phosphate battery cells. The battery clusters, electrical control system, fire protection system and cooling system of each system are strictly arranged in separate compartments, which is both safe and easy to maintain.
The product is mainly used in various scenarios such as peak shaving and valley filling in industry and commerce, integrated photovoltaic storage and charging, and microgrid construction. Its maximum capacity can reach 1000 KWH. When combined with a 1MW inverter, it forms a complete system that is plug-and-play outdoors. The customer transports it to the site. As long as it is connected to power, it can be put into use. It is very suitable for occasions that require rapid deployment, compact space occupation and convenient operation and maintenance.
It should be noted that the weight of such an "Energy Cube" alone is close to 35 tons. With the assembly tooling and maintenance base included, the overall transportation weight exceeds 80 tons. This is also the reason why traditional forklifts and hoisting operations are difficult to dispatch on site, have low efficiency, and pose certain safety risks.
After the introduction of the backpack AGV, all these problems were easily solved. Agvs can precisely connect with each production process point without human intervention. They can navigate autonomously, avoid obstacles independently, lift and lower autonomously, and load and unload autonomously. Their efficiency has been increased by at least three times. More importantly, this has laid the foundation for our subsequent realization of a "dark factory" for the entire energy storage cabinet production line.
In the past, each time we transferred goods, we needed at least 3 to 4 operators to work together. During night shifts or holidays, we also had to arrange for on-duty personnel. Now it's different. All you need to do is send a command from the background, and the AGV will automatically set off. Turning, turning corners, and entering elevators are all possible. In one trip, the "Energy Cube" can be steadily delivered to the next workstation.
In recent years, the energy storage industry has developed rapidly, but in fact, there are not many enterprises that dare to invest in automation and intelligence. Because developing this system is not as simple as purchasing a few devices. What's more important is an understanding of the product structure, planning of the process flow, and a grasp of future large-scale delivery.
Starting from the early stage of battery cell integration, Huijue has developed to today's complete industrial chain of "battery cells +PACK+ energy storage systems +EMS+ inverters", with full control over the entire process. It is precisely for this reason that when we carry out the automation transformation of the production line, we can achieve a high degree of matching and precise adaptation, rather than simply applying others' standard templates.
In the future, we hope that AGVs can not only move energy storage cabinets but also be integrated with more processes, such as automated testing, label pasting, scanning for warehousing, and zoned dispatching. The ultimate goal is to transform the manufacturing of the entire energy storage system from "people waiting for equipment" to "equipment waiting for people", and from human control to machine control, so that every "energy magic cube" can leave the factory faster, more stably and more safely and reach various application scenarios.
It seems that only one AGV has brought about the change. But in fact, behind it lies a transformation of manufacturing concepts and an early layout for the future of the industry. We hope that while more people are still using manual labor to "lay bricks", Huijue has already "liberated their hands" with technology.
We believe that a truly promising energy storage enterprise is not only capable of selling products but also of manufacturing them. And we, starting from each "Energy Cube", are on this path.
