The Longquan plant comprises WeLion's 280Ah lithium iron phosphate (LFP) hybrid batteries at its heart. Half-solid in construction and having an energy density of over 165Wh/kg, the batteries sustain more than 6,000 charging-discharging cycles. They have an operating temperature range from -20°C to 60°C, thus offering excellent operational capability in snow, ice, and hot summer conditions.
Kehua Technology, the No. 1 power solution company in China, supplied the power conversion system for the Longquan project. To be precise, they installed the following equipment:
25 customized 5MW sleds: Every sled housed 4 state-of-the-art 1.25MW converters.
Connected to a 5000kVA transformer, So that power can be injected smoothly into the 35kV AC Grid.
Such units ensure smooth power conversion and grid compatibility and pave the way toward energy dispatch with much ease.
